Completing an MFA in Industrial Design at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Evan holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and a Bachelors in the History of Science. He has over a decade of experience in collaborative work environments. He has taught at the high school and community college levels, and worked in woodshops, including furniture restoration and building custom art frames. His design practice takes inspiration from nature, and uses design as a form of play – exploring relationships and challenging assumptions. Evan is especially interested in material research in design. Also, he is interested in projects that bring together old and new technologies. combining knowledge of CAD modeling – including Fusion 360, Rhino/Grasshopper – with a familiarity with traditional craft processes.
In his free time, Evan enjoys rock climbing, reading, and traveling. & life with his brilliant fiance.
